Meet 10 African Talents Taking Global Runways by Storm in 2025

At AYKO Agency, we believe Africa is home to a new wave of African talents — unapologetically bold, beautifully diverse, and ready to lead.

Since our launch in 2021, our mission has been clear: to discover, train, and elevate Africa’s Hidden Talent to the world stage. Today, that vision comes alive through the journeys of ten extraordinary AYKO models who are redefining fashion on global runways in 2025.

From street castings in Lagos to couture shows in Paris and Milan, these models prove that African excellence is not just a trend — it’s the future of fashion. As a commercial modelling agency in Nigeria with an international reach, AYKO is proud to spotlight their achievements.

1. LAYLA

Discovered during the 2023 African Talent Discovery (ATD) Tour in Abuja, Layla’s elegance and grace caught the attention of top scouts immediately. In 2025, she walked for an emerging sustainable label at Paris Fashion Week and starred in a Vogue Africa editorial redefining African femininity. Known for her soulful eyes and confident stride, Layla is set to become one of Africa’s most recognisable African talents.

2. VENUM

Venum’s discovery was pure fate — scouted at a music video shoot in Accra, his natural charisma was impossible to ignore. Despite having no formal modeling background, he completed AYKO’s intensive Bootcamp and soon after walked for Kenneth Ize in Lagos. His career highlights include a Nike Africa campaign and a Billboard South Africa cover shoot.

3. CHIOMA

Chioma’s background in dance and theatre gives her a unique ability to tell stories through movement. She joined AYKO via our Creative Arts Cohort in Lagos, and her career quickly expanded to international stages. In 2025, she walked in shows from Milan to Cape Town and starred in SKIMS Africa’s groundbreaking campaign celebrating body diversity.

4. SIMI

For those wondering how tall is Simi, this rising star stands at 5’11” and commands every runway she steps on. Born in London and raised in Lagos, she perfectly embodies the cultural duality at the heart of AYKO’s vision. In 2025, she became the face of Savage X Fenty Africa, walked in London Fashion Week, and was a keynote speaker at the AYKO Creative Symposium in Lagos.

5. ARELA

One of the youngest finalists in the 2024 ATD Bootcamp, Arela’s fresh beauty and quiet confidence have made her a favorite with casting directors. She debuted in Milan for Stella McCartney and graced i-D Magazine’s “Future Icons” feature.

6. ABISOLA

Abisola’s sharp bone structure and intense runway presence made her a standout at Lagos Fashion Week 2025. She is now the face of a luxury African jewellery brand and a shining example of Africa's Hidden Talent stepping into the spotlight.

7. DAVID

A former footballer turned model, David’s strong build and confident walk have earned him spots with Kenneth Ize and GQ Africa. His versatility makes him equally compelling in editorial shoots and on high-profile runways.

8. INI

Ini blends heritage with high-fashion glamour, having worked with Dior Africa and Elle South Africa. Her ability to represent both tradition and modernity makes her a sought-after face for luxury brands.

9. IZO

Izo’s striking profile and tall frame have made him a sought-after face for Milan’s top menswear brands. He has fronted H&M Africa’s sustainable fashion campaign and is an ambassador for eco-conscious style.

10. LULA

Lula’s versatility has taken her from beauty campaigns in Johannesburg to high-fashion runways in Paris. She is known for her radiant smile and ability to bring life to every photoshoot.

At AYKO Agency, our models are more than just faces for brands. They are storytellers, cultural ambassadors, and leaders shaping the future of fashion. Every one of them has come through our scouting, training, and mentorship programs — and today, they are making an impact worldwide.
